My First Day Back at School!!!

Today was my first day back to school. Even though I had to wake up at 5 and sit in a classroom for 7 hours I was still pretty excited to go back. I woke up this morning got ready and went on my way to the bus stop. I had a different bus driver which was very exciting becuase i didnt like my old one at all :), and we didnt have to go the long way anymore we just went straight to school. I liked being on the bus for 10 min better then 30. When i got to school i met up with a few of my friends that I didnt get a chance to see over the summer so that we could catch up. After this i went to my homeroom and my day was about to start. The bell rang and I was on my way. I LOVE all my classes...i got everything i wanted...Criminology and Law, Forensic Science and Psychology. I am also taking Physics and Pre-Calculus, so I do have my work cut out for me, but i think i can handle it :). I know almost everybody in all of my classes which i love, and all my teachers seem pretty nice which also is always good!`The favoritie thing about school is being able to see all my friends EVERYDAY!!!!
And even though i didnt see alex one of my best friends all day i think this is going to be a great year!!!

MY VARSITY JACKET

The day finally came when I got my varsity jacket. I have been looking forward to this for so long. I worked my butt off for 2 whole seasons trying to get it and i finally did. My freshmen year I played on the JV softball team. Which was probably the best softball season of my career. :)
I was batting well over .500 and hit about 8 homeruns. It was amazing. But then sophmore year came. I never thought I would have made it. Tryouts were hard as usual but I gave 110%. It was almost time for the season to start when the varsity coach came up to me and asked me to play for her and be her DH. I said yes!!
In order for you to be able to get your varsity letter you have to play in 12 of the seasons 20 games. This doesnt sound hard to do but when there are 11 girls and 9 positions, sometimes it can get pretty rough. I started off the season pretty good but I got into a slump which wasn't so good. I worked so hard to try and get out of it. So I sat a couple games which I didnt think would be good because I knew this wouldn't be helping me. Then one game she gave me another shot and I did good, so I was on the roster for the rest of the season and ended up finishing the season with 16 games.
I am looking forward to this softball season as a junior, which will be starting pretty soon!!

Going away with Aunt Wendy and Aunt Sue!!

Every year my two aunts take me and my brother away. Last year we went to Baltimore, the inner harbor, which was amazing. Now this past weekend is finally time for vactation again. This year we are going to Massachusets and Connecticut. We left Thursday very early in the morning. We drove for about and 3 hours and we finally got to our first stop...Sturbridge Village. This was very interesting. It was a little old village where we could learn some history. There were houses and buildings we could go into and see how they used to live. It was a good place to stop so we wouldnt be driving for five hours.
After this we were on our way to the hotel. When we got there we realized how nice it was. We checked in an learned that everyday there would be homemade chocolate chip cookies, lemonade and tea and coffee. Very nice!!
We asked where to go to dinner and it wasnt such a good idea. We went to this seafood place called Captain Carlos. The hotel recomended a bad one. The food was horrible, but the New England Clam Chowda' was amazing. The next morning we woke up and went to Salem. What can i say...it was so much fun, and so intersting. We first went to the House of Seven Gabels, which was veryyy cool. Then we did a little shopping...my favorite part. I was on a mission to get my mom a money candle. I went into this one little store with voodoo dolls and spell books, and thought to myself why am I in here, but there was the $$$ candle. After shopping me, my brother and my aunt went to Frankensteins Lab. My other aunt sat in Dunkin' Donuts, i think she was the only smart one. We were looking forward to this but it was such a bust. It was a waste of $18. It was a pretty much dark room, with alot of smoke and lights. There was so much smoke I was like choking. All that was inside was a bunch of my age kids trying to jump out and scare you...they did a horrible job. After this horrible experience we went to the memorial for the 12 peeople who were involved with witchcraft. 11 were hung and 1 was pressed to death. After this we did a little more shopping and went to go get crazy pictures taken. We dressed up as witches. Then we started heading back to the hotel. When we figured out where we wanted to eat. Lobsta Land!!! I think it was the best restaurant we have been to in a while. All of us could have licked our whole plate clean!
We played a little pool and a little scrabble in the hotel where i again beat my aunt, she just wont admit it!!!
Again we have another early start...today is whale watching. We saw so many whales. It was amazing. I have never seen anything like it. We saw about 10 humpbacks and probably about 4 Minkes. It was incredible. After this we headed out to Rockport, where we went all over to go shopping. :)
This was our last night back in the hotel. Where i beat my aunt in scrabble AGAIN, and she knew I did cause this time we kept score. :)
Then our last day we woke up, ate breakfast and headed to Mystic, Connecticut. We first stopped at the aquarium which was really really fun. After this we went to Mystic Seaport. This was not the highlight of our trip but it was still fun.
So all in all this trip was amazing...what an experience.
I am looking forward to next year.

Starting my very own blog!!

I have been reading my aunt's blog for a while now. She writes probably a new one almost every day, and I always enjoy reading them. Then my cousin Cait and her dog Migo started writing one, which I thought was the cutest idea. Then just the other day my brother Josh told me he had started a blog. I felt so out of the loop. So I decided to make my own. Considering I am not the greatest writer I never thought I would really make one, but here I am. If you dont already know my name is Jill, and I am very excited about sharing my thoughts and everyday events with everyone.
